Our Terms

Thank you for booking with us!

  • Pack your sassiest outfits! Remember to bring proper clothing, as this is a semiarid area and it can be a warm, desert diva during the day and chilly charmer when the sun gets down.
  • Slip into your comfiest kicks so you may move around on proper shoes, and preferably a light shirt with long sleeves.
  • Don’t forget your cool – cat essentials: hat, sun glasses and sunscreen.
  • Be sure to have 100% battery on your phone for those insta-worthy moments!
  • Remember your personal potions and lotions for any unexpected hiccups. Bring your meds!
  • Give us the lowdown on any food faves, mobility needs, or other must-know info.
  • Go green and bring a reusable water bottle to quench your thirst… We will take water bottles for you, but we always try to generate as little waste as possible.

Contract

When booking a tour with us, you agree to be legally bound by the following terms and conditions. In all cases, the person making the booking shall be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions on behalf of all the other persons named in the booking and who partake in the booked tour.

Safety

The customer agrees to abide by all terms, conditions, and directions of MexGeo Tours and guides including but not limited to all matters regarding proper conduct, safety issues, and use of equipment throughout the tour. This means, for example, you must wear a helmet when riding a bike.

Medical health

It is vital that people with medical problems inform us before their departure. The trip leader has the right to disqualify any person at any time during the trip if he or she believes that the trip member is physically or mentally incapable. In such circumstances, no refunds are made. There are often no hospital facilities available, and evacuation can be long, difficult and expensive. MexGeo Tours assumes no liability in connection with the provision of medical care.

Insurance

Some of the tours we offer may be potentially dangerous. Prior to booking a tour, you, the customer, should be aware of this. We can provide an insurance option that meets the fundamental requirements as per Mexican regulations. You must acknowledge the need to acquire your own insurance coverage if desired.

Price

Prices are per person based on double occupancy, quoted in US dollars. Prices may change during the course of the year and seasonal prices may not be reflected on the website. All dates, itineraries and prices of tours are subject to change at any time and the current price will be quoted and confirmed at the time of booking.

Extra costs and unexpected changes

We aim to publish the most accurate, up-to-date costs regarding the activities, restaurants, wineries and other providers that are not included in the cost of our tours; this information is bound to change, so please use it as a guide only.

MexGeo Tours reserves the right to change hotels, activities, accommodations or other features of the trip’s itinerary to enhance the safety, comfort or enjoyment of the tour, with or without notice, and will not be liable for any loss of any kind as a result of such changes. MexGeo Tours reserves the right to replace such features if necessary due to weather, mechanical conditions or other conditions beyond MexGeo Tour’s control and is not obliged to compensate participants under these circumstances.

On the other hand, please consider we occasionally face cost increases that we cannot absorb (currency fluctuations, fuel surcharges). We regret this situation and do everything possible to prevent price increases, but sometimes it is unavoidable. We do our best to limit such increases and will notify you prior to final payment. However, we will not increase the price after your final payment.

Delays

The cost of delays is not included if any trip is prolonged due to bad weather, trail conditions, river levels, road conditions, transportation delays, government intervention, quarantine, illness, border closures or unforeseeable circumstances for which MexGeo Tours or its affiliates cannot prepare for. Consequently, expenses may escalate without prior notification, even subsequent to your trip registration.

Photography

Participants grant MexGeo Tours permission to utilize photographs and /or videos without prior notice for promotional use without any compensation.

Multi day tours

MexGeo Tours reserves the right to cancel or postpone any trip due to insufficient registration or other cause that makes the trip unfeasible. However, clients will be notified at least 45 days prior to the scheduled departure and MexGeo Tours will provide alternative travel dates for a postponed trip.

In the event of cancellation, travelers will receive a complete travel credit for future use or a refund, except in cases of force majeure (such as war, labor strikes, natural disasters, epidemics, or significant global events impacting international travel patterns), where non-reversible deposits or commitments have been made.

In any case, if a refund is requested, only recoverable funds will be provided after using good faith efforts to recover payments already advanced to suppliers (hotels, transportation, etc), and will be refunded as shortly as possible.

If you desire to cancel or reschedule your trip, please consider the following fees:

  • Cancellations more than 6 weeks prior to the tour date are eligible for a 100% refund or tour credit within the next year.
    • Both, gray whale watching tour and whale shark tour require a $100 USD, non-refundable deposit at the time of booking due to limited availability.

  • Cancellations made with less than 4 weeks prior to the tour date are eligible for a 50% refund or tour credit within the next year.
  • Cancellations made with less than 2 weeks prior trip departure will have no refund, but could be used for tour credit used within the next six months.

Please note that MexGeo Tours may need to charge any applicable reservation fees that might have already been made.

Last, but not least

Please be advised that variations in bank fees and exchange rates may result in discrepancies between the refunded amount and the initial payment due to currency fluctuations. MexGeo Tours does not control these bank fees or exchange rates and cannot be held accountable for any disparities in refund amounts.

MexGeo Tours does not assume responsibility for any additional costs accrued by travelers in preparation for the trip, including non-refundable airfare, visa expenses, attire, gear, or medical charges.
